Tits Over Teacups

Well, the Boobie Ball 2008 is over, and it was an unqualified and total success. More then an astounding 2700 USD was raised for Breast cancer research by this single event, after donations at the Ball were most generously matched by hostesses Seneschal Serra Anansi and Duchess Eva Bellambi.

The Ball itself, held in Winterfell, was horrifically well attended (you could tell by the occasional bouts of peasoup lag and the attention of griefers late in the Ball) and went on well beyond the originally stated times. All in all, in my opinion it was the finest single charitable event I have attended in Second Life, and I have been to (and sponsored) some fine ones. My heartiest congratulations go out to the indomitable and delicious team of Seneschal Anansi and Duchess Bellambi (who spent the night dressed in matching thongs, and the occasional hat) for an event that was second to none. I am already looking forward to the second installment next year. Ladies, I feel that you have started a proud and commendable tradition in The Boobie Ball and all of Caledon, Winterfell and their environs are in your debt.

Beware, digital nudity, after the jump.

  1. *grins broadly* I had loads of fun :)

  2. My Lord Baron –
Thank you for this post – you have captured the feel of the event, which was really a celebration of women. I continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends and neighbors in SL, particularly Caledon, Winterfell, and Steelhead.
I must also thank you and Hotspur O’Toole for your advance publicity for the Boobie Ball for it surely caught the attention of many others including NWN correspondents.
We are so happy to be Saving Second Base! We’ve started a group which will exist throughout the year and will be the basis for a RFL team next year – all proceeds going to breast cancer research!

    Much Love~
    Eva

  3. Thank you for your relentless pursuit of the pictoral art–I missed the whole thing due to unforeseen circumstances, and thus, this account and these pictures are all I can see, dimly from a distance, of the affair. I’m very glad it went well, and kudos to everyone involved.
