Breast Cancer Awareness – Front and Center

Charitable causes are always quite popular in Caledon. The philanthropic juggernaut know as Relay for Life comes to mind first of course, but there are several worthy causes that are of popular interest and deserve the attentions of Caledon, Winterfell and their environs.

One such cause is Breast Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Treatment and two of our worthiest citizens have decided to play tit for tat and be up front, taking the wraps off an effort to keep Caledon abreast of recent developments in these areas.

Miss Eva Bellambi, Duchess of Loch Avie and Winterfell Seneschal Miss Serra Anansi are two women who need no introduction in these pages, and who have been instrumental in popularizing breasts in Caledon and Winterfell. Anyone who has had the pleasure of not meeting their eyes while conversing face to face with them know of what I speak. When drawing room chitchat comes around to breasts, their names always come up with many noises of respectful admiration and calls for another round of warm Pernod and firmly packed cigars.

It is therefore only fitting that they be co-sponsoring the Boobie Ball, and both serving as hostesses (or perhaps I should say, all four of them). The Boobie Ball is an event designed to raise both funds and awareness of this very serious health issue in conjunction with the real world BoobieThon. Duchess Loch Avie’s typist is closely involved with the RL BoobieThon and I am sure would be happy to describe the excellent work of this organization to interested residents. Full details are available at the official Winterfell website and Red Rose of Caledon

In the meantime, I hope all will come out for the Boobie Ball, which will be held in Winterfell at the Taure En Lor Ballroom on October 4th, noon to 2pm SLT. As a rampant and vocal supporter of breasts in their many and varied moods, I know I will be there in a pinch.

The following is reposted from Red Rose of Caledon.

During the first week of October people from across the globe can submit pictures of bare and covered breasts to raise money for breast cancer causes.

Founded in 2002 by Florida blogger Robyn Pollman (www.shutterblog.com) the BoobieThon (www.boobiethon.com) has grown into a well-known event, raising tens of thousands for breast cancer and blogger-charity causes, with over 1500 people contributing pictures. The Susan G. Koman Foundation has, in the past, been the largest recipient of the funds.

Males and females can submit pictures of their breasts. The covered boobies are featured on the free area of the site. The price of viewing the bare breasts is $50.

Come join Serra Anansi and Duchess Eva Bellambi as they host the first ever Boobie Ball. This will be held in Winterfell at the Taure En Lor Ballroom. This is not a formal event. Please just come ready to have some fun and be generous with your Lindens.

Wear Pink if you like, and you may dance topless if you dare, in honor of the breasts and lives we are working to save.

There will be donation kiosks and vendors with items for sale. All proceeds will be donated to BoobieThon.com during their annual campaign. Miss Serra and Miss Eva will match all donations. So come see your donation to this worthy cause tripled.

Donations will be listed on the site as coming from Winterfell and Caledon’s Boobie Ball.
